Sync Technologies Awards Youth With Personal Computers
Detroit based SYNC Technologies is honoring thirty students who completed the "SYNC IT" Learning Program with personal computers.
Online, September 27, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Detroit based SYNC Technologies is honoring thirty students who completed the "SYNC IT" Learning Program with personal computers. The program was started in April 2010 by SYNC in partnership with the City of Detroit to increase computer literacy, math and reading skills, educational enrichment, and character building amongst youth in the community from10-15 years of age. Students were given computer and internet access, tutored, taught IT vocabulary, and introduced to the Lexia reading program.
Those students who completed all requirements will be honored at the companies first "Promotional Class" dinner September 28, 2010 at the People's United Methodist church in Detroit. The company hopes this program and its incentives will encourage more youth involvement in IT learning, and are very proud of the academic achievement of the students.
SYNC Technologies is a minority owned small business technology company, and is well known for its work with the City of Detroit Water & Sewage Department and the Detroit Public School System. SYNC is heavily involved in community efforts and continues to sponsor programs such as The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW) and the Water Access Volunteer Effort (W.A.V.E.).
