T-Mobile Operated by Wireless Vision Raises More Than $40,000 for Childhood Cancer Research

Wireless Vision Tuscon Team

T-Mobile operated by Wireless Vision is proud to have raised more than $40,000 to benefit the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants. The family owned business and T-Mobile’s largest retail partner, Wireless Vision, joined St. Baldrick’s in its efforts to take childhood back from cancer by shaving their heads for the cause.

Wireless Vision organized seven St. Baldrick’s head-shaving events, where Wireless Vision employees, families and community members went bald at local in store- head-shaving events to stand in solidarity with kids with cancer and raise money for lifesaving research.

Giving back is part of who we are. One of our core values is 'Passion for our People' and that doesn't stay within our store walls. We are passionate about our employees, customers, and our communities.

The following events helped raise over $40,000 for childhood cancer research:

·       Tucson - Wireless Vision Conquers Childhood Cancer: $1,165

·       Colorado - Wireless Vision Conquers Childhood Cancer: $7,574.57

·       Chicago - Wireless Vision Conquers Childhood Cancer: $8,288

·       Detroit - Wireless Vision Conquers Childhood Cancer: $15,350

·       St. Louis - Wireless Vision Conquers Childhood Cancer: $4,650

·       WV Utah Passion for the Cure: $1,765

·       Milwaukee - Wireless Vision Conquers Childhood Cancer: $3,242

Families who have been affected by cancer were invited to speak and share their stories at these local events. Betsy Anderson, from the Colorado T-Mobile & Wireless Vision Conquers Childhood Cancer event, shared her daughter, Jenna Anderson’s, story and fight against childhood cancer.

Jenna enjoyed music, going to concerts, singing and participating in marching band.  She even attended a summer camp that helped her develop her skills for performing on stage. At 14 years old, she was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma and passed away shortly after her 16 birthday.

Money raised at these events will support research to find cures and better treatments so that kids have the best chance at growing up to live long and healthy lives.
