T-Mobile Operated by Wireless Vision With St. Baldrick's Foundation Challenges Holiday Shoppers to Save Kids With Cancer With Giving Tuesday Campaign

Wireless Vision is proud to participate with St. Baldrick's foundation in Giving Tuesday, taking place Nov. 27, and is encouraging shoppers nationwide to donate their Black Friday and Cyber Monday savings to help save kids with cancer.

Find Goodness in Giving

A child is diagnosed with cancer every 2 minutes worldwide. That’s the same amount of time it will take consumers to purchase a Black Friday deal online. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants, is proud to participate in Giving Tuesday, taking place Nov. 27, and is encouraging shoppers nationwide to donate their Black Friday and Cyber Monday savings to help save kids with cancer.

This year, St. Baldrick’s is partnering with Wireless Vision, T-Mobile’s largest retail partner, and Blackhawk Network, a global financial technology company and a leader in connecting brands and people, to share the vital need to fund lifesaving childhood cancer research and clinical trials with their employees and customers.

Giving back is part of who we are. One of our core values is 'Passion for our People' and that doesn't stay within our store walls. We are passionate about our employees, customers and communities. Giving Tuesday is another opportunity for us to help raise awareness for St. Baldrick's and show our support for their amazing cause.

“Giving back is part of who we are. One of our core values is ‘Passion for our People’ and that doesn’t stay within our store walls,” says Saber Ammori, CEO of T-Mobile Operated by Wireless Vision. “We are passionate about our employees, customers and communities. Giving Tuesday is another opportunity for us to help raise awareness for St. Baldrick’s and show our support for their amazing cause.”

Money raised through the Giving Tuesday campaign will support research that will benefit kids like St. Baldrick’s Honored Kid Phineas Sandi. Phineas was diagnosed with high-risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia at 4 years old, just six years after his sister’s death of childhood cancer. After learning his cancer was chemo-resistant, Phineas was left with few options. Luckily, Phineas was able to enroll in a St. Baldrick’s funded immunotherapy clinical trial and is cancer free today.

“For the past few years, Blackhawk Network has proudly supported the St. Baldrick’s Foundation,” said Blackhawk Network in a statement. “The organization’s mission—finding cures for childhood cancer—is one that is close to our hearts as many of our employees have a personal connection to the disease in some way. Supporting St. Baldrick’s provides us with a chance to make a real difference in the lives of the children and families impacted by cancer, with the ultimate goal that no one ever has to go through losing a young loved one to cancer again.”

This Giving Tuesday, help give hope to kids like Phineas and their families:

·      Donate online

·      Start a Facebook Fundraiser

·      Use our shareable images and spread the word on social media

“We are so grateful for everyone’s support in helping to raise money that will support innovative childhood cancer research,” said Kathleen Ruddy, CEO of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. “We refuse to give up hope and will continue to fund the best childhood cancer research so that more cures and better treatment options will be available to all kids with cancer.”
