Tabloid Witch Awards Seeks Great Horror Films

The Tabloid Witch Awards, a no entry fee horror film contest and festival, is issuing a last call for horror films.

Time is running out to enter the 2010 Tabloid Witch Awards -- a No Entry Fee horror film contest and festival, sponsored by the Hollywood Investigator, and now in its 7th year.

Each year the Tabloid Witch invites horror filmmakers to submit their best works. Award categories include features and shorts, dramatic and comedic horror, animated and avant-garde horror, and horror music videos.

The Tabloid Witch Awards have boosted filmmakers' careers. After "Within" won for Best Horror Feature Film in 2009, it secured distribution on the Lifetime Channel in 2010. "Dead Noon" actor Robert Bear says, "The Tabloid Witch Awards was a huge help in getting our movie picked up by a studio." Filmmaker Paul Carty says, "Thank you for the heads-up on the distribution opportunities. I just signed a licensing/distribution agreement for 'The Kooky Kastle'."

There is No Entry Fee. Filmmakers need only submit a DVD of their films to: Tabloid Witch Awards, PO Box 1903, Santa Monica, CA 90406-1903.

Deadline for entries is September 30, 2010. DVDs must be in the Tabloid Witch's PO Box by that date. However, the sooner the better.

The 2010 Tabloid Witch Award winning films will screen on the evening of Saturday, October 30, at the Miles Memorial Playhouse in Santa Monica, California.
