These two guys have been fishing together for over 20 years. Every trip seemed to either be fraught with danger, or some comedy-of-errors. They always returned to the dock to regale their friends with the details of their adventures, and their friends would laugh so hard they couldn't breathe.
After a while, they thought that perhaps they could have their own TV show. They thought about creating a local access cable show, not unlike "Wayne's World" from SNL. But they were too busy make the show. However, every time they ventured out, they started to view their trips as if they were being filmed for a sitcom. They even started referring to their trips as "episodes". This started way back in the late 80s before the Internet was prevalent.
With the advent of the internet, it finally dawned on them that perhaps they should start their own online show. They could have a blog with their stories, and even create a video podcast, joining the masses who are self-producing their own shows.
In August of 2010 they finally launched "ExtremeFishermen.com". They have two decades of stories to publish, which will take time. But already their site is a hit, being spread around on social networks from friend to friend.
