Online, May 18, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Legendary arena football coach Tim Marcum, Tampa Bay Storm, is on a quest to raise funds for the families of fallen and wounded special operations personnel.
Coach Marcum's Inaugural Celebrity Fishing Tournament, set for Friday, May 21, promises to be an exciting day at sea. But if fishing is not your thing, you can attend the Captain's "Hook and Hunt" party May 20 from 6pm to 8pm at O'Brien's Irish Pub, 701 Lumsden Road in Brandon, Fla.
For $25, you can join the fun and enjoy all-you-can-eat and drink while mingling with Coach Marcum along with a number of Storm players and cheerleaders and some of Tampa Bay's best fishing guides.
"This is a great deal because you have the opportunity to meet some local sports celebrities while also helping the families of fallen special operations personnel," said Edie Rosenthal, the foundation's public relations director.
All proceeds from the fishing tournament and "Hook and Hunt" party benefit the Special Operations Warrior Foundation and its programs to support the families of Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps special operations personnel. The Special Operations Warrior Foundation is a top-rated nonprofit based in Tampa. The foundation provides full college educations to the surviving children of fallen special operations personnel and immediate financial assistance to the families of severely wounded special operations personnel.
"How wonderful it is to have people like Coach Marcum and his volunteers to stand up for the families of fallen troops and remind them that their loved one's sacrifice has not been forgotten," said Rosenthal.
With seven Arena Football championship rings, Coach Tim Marcum has set the standard for coaching excellence. Don't miss this chance to get up close and personal with one of the finest coaches in the business, while helping the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.
