Online, September 17, 2010 (Newswire.com) - OXFORD, MS -- Jennifer Robinson and Ed Meek, the team that created the largest beverage and food show in the Western Hemisphere have taken steps to return to the hospitality industry marketplace with new business development and networking opportunities.
"We are excited to be back in business after a couple of years of absence. Oxford Expositions LLC will produce tradeshows, conferences and meetings, appointment-based events, and specialty events providing unique networking opportunities in various markets, including hospitality" said Robinson.
Robinson is CEO of the new company and Meek, who founded The Show 25 years ago, is Chairman of the Board. The Show became the largest food and beverage event held annually in the Western Hemisphere. The Show was purchased from the Meek family by Questex Media Group, Inc which subsequently went bankrupt. Oxford recently initiated appropriate court proceedings to confirm certain restrictive agreements previously held by Questex Media Group, Inc. are not enforceable by Questex Media Group, LLC, the current owner of "The Show".
"We are anxious to once again serve the hospitality industry with our unique 'Southern hospitality' that always puts the customer first. Plans are in place for a series of both domestic and international events," Robinson said. We look forward to hearing from the court regarding the timing for implementation of our various services.
Not limiting themselves, to just a familiar market, Oxford Expositions LLC has launched their first tradeshow, The Broadband Expo which will focus on deployment communications technologies to rural America. The Broadband Expo will be held on Nov. 1-3, 2010, at the Gaylord Texan in Dallas.
