TechAmerica to Host CFO Forum Discussing Economic Outlook for United States

Executive vice president and director of research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas highlights the current state of the economy and what to expect moving forward.

Dallas, TX - TechAmerica Texas is hosting a CFO Forum for C-level executives and financial managers of technology companies to learn about developments in the United States and regional economy affecting their businesses. The event will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 28 at the Dallas/Addison Marriott Quorum.

The event will provide a morning of quality networking with peers during breakfast and an enlightening presentation by Executive Vice President and Director of Research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Harvey Rosenblum. From the expert presentation, guests can expect to learn about the:

•Current state of the economy in Texas and the U.S.
•Economic and financial events that continue to shape the economy
•Expectations of the economy moving forward, including the prospects for recovery
•Actions of the Federal Reserve to address the economic climate
•Expectations for the Federal Reserve's future policy

Through his experience, Rosenblum has gained an extensive background in regards to economics. After receiving a bachelor's degree and doctoral degree in economics, Rosenblum began his career as an economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, advancing through the ranks to vice president before joining the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas as senior vice president. Upon his promotion to executive vice president and director of research in 2005, Rosenblum currently serves as an economic policy advisor to the Bank's president and as an associate economist for the Federal Open Market Committee, which formulates the nation's monetary policy.

Also, Rosenblum is a past president and a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE), a prestigious trade association whose 3,000 members are the leading business economists in the United States and many other countries. Rosenblum is currently serving as executive director of the North American Economics and Finance Association and is a member of the Product Development and Small Business Incubator Board, appointed by the governor of Texas.

This event is free for TechAmerica members and $40 for non-members. Attendance at TechAmerica CFO Forums is limited to C-level executives and financial managers of technology companies only.
