TechBridge Announces Executive Change

Board of Directors Selection Committee to announce successor and begin transition in late 2011

TechBridge, an Atlanta-based nonprofit dedicated to helping other nonprofit organizations use technology to do more and serve more people, announced that Kathleen Kurre will be leaving her role as CEO to pursue new opportunities. The TechBridge Board of Directors Selection Committee will name her successor at a later date. Kurre will remain in position until her successor is on board to enable a seamless leadership transition.

Since joining the organization in August 2008, Kurre has enhanced TechBridge's mission to provide value-driven technology services and increased the overall impact on Atlanta's nonprofit sector. "Under Kathleen's leadership, TechBridge has grown in size and impact enabling it to serve more than 300 nonprofits," said James Franklin, General Manager of Enterprise Solutions at Omnilink and Chair of the TechBridge Board of Directors. "Kathleen's unique skills and experience have greatly benefited TechBridge and our community."

Under her leadership, TechBridge recently announced that its eleventh annual Digital Ball once again exceeded expectations. Ninety-four corporate sponsors joined the event's presenting sponsor, Accenture, to raise $1.2 million in cash and in-kind donations. Other sponsors included AirTran Airways, The Coca-Cola Company, Dell, First Data, Prosys, Savvis, EMC, Mohawk Industries, and SAP.

Reflecting on her departure, TechBridge Co-Founder Scott Geller, and CTO of Points of Light Institue said "Kathleen furthered TechBridge's collaboration with local corporations, CIOs and the non-profit community. Her passionate leadership helped the organization bridge the gap that exists between commercial and nonprofit organizations in the application of technology to solve mission-critical challenges and meet strategic objectives. We look forward to working with the next generation of leadership to continue to increase TechBridge's impact on the community."

"The unique synergy created by TechBridge's technology expertise and nonprofit heritage has been my personal passion," said Kurre. "I'm proud to have been a part of helping TechBridge put technology to work for nonprofits, so they can focus on meeting needs and providing services that enrich our community and our lives."
