Technology Conservation Group, Inc. to Host Electronics Recycling Event

Online, April 11, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Residents and businesses in the greater Citrus, Marion and Levy counties are invited to drop off their used computers and other electronic items - free of charge - at their corporate headquarters located at 705 South Easy Street in Lecanto, FL. The event will be held during the week of April 23-28th, Monday - Friday between 12pm-4pm, and on Saturday from 8am-2pm.

In an effort to encourage the public to recycle and raise awareness of the harmful materials that end up in landfills when electronics are disposed of improperly, Technology Conservation Group, Inc. will host multiple Earth Day events at their 7 facility locations around the world. TCG will also be hosting a worldwide online pledge in the hopes that visitors to the page will make a commitment to take a positive step toward earth-friendly activities like recycling. The following items will be accepted: Desktop and laptop computers, CRT and LCD monitors, hard drives, modems, electronic storage devices, printers, scanners, copiers, telecommunications equipment, fax machines, digital cameras, power backups, power transformers, cables, circuit boards, video game systems, DVD players, VCRs, most industrial scrap, and most commercial equipment.

The following items will not be accepted: Stoves, microwave ovens, washers, dryers and refrigerators
