Teen Actress Rory Ogden Continues Her Mission Against Bullying
Hershey, PA, October 16, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Hershey teen actress and singer Rory Nicole Ogden continues to take a stand against bullying. Two years ago Rory released her single, “Don’t Wanna Fit In,” a song about being comfortable in your own shoes, while standing up to bullies. For the past two years, Rory has been a part of GLAAD’s PSA for Spirit Day, a cause she is proud to participate in. Spirit Day is important to Rory, who believes that everyone should have equal rights and be allowed to be who they are without the backlash of being bullied.
What is Spirit Day?
Millions go purple onSpirit Dayin a stand against bullying, and to show their support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth. Observed annually since 2010, individuals, schools, organizations, corporations, and public figures wear purple, which symbolizes 'spirit' on the rainbow flag.
“It’s so important to learn to treat everyone with respect and love no matter what they do in their personal life,” says Rory. “I have friends and family members who are gay. It doesn’t matter to me, I love them for who they are.”
Rory has been extremely busy since becoming an actress three years ago. She has had several TV roles, and has been featured in short as well as feature films. Her latest project is a special for Cartoon Network's Adult Swim in what she hopes will become a regular role.
