On Saturday, April 30th, the annual Teen Challenge Montana Banquet fundraiser will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn from 6pm - 8:30 pm.

Sarah Palin recently stated, "Teen Challenge is a charity that is neighbor helping neighbor the way America used to be. Charity fills a need that government can't fill."

Organizers say the event will raise money to help the women at Teen Challenge Montana rebuild the foundation of their lives. Women 18+ come to Teen Challenge from all over the country because they are struggling with drug & alcohol addiction, domestic violence, and other life tragedies. Most of the women come from living a life on the streets.

Currently, 19 women and 1 child are being counseled, healed, educated, and loved at the home.

The Teen Challenge Banquet will feature an inspirational keynote address from Dave Dravecky, former San Francisco Giants pitcher who lost his pitching arm to cancer..he has a powerful message of courage and hope to share. The program will also include special performances and will give honor to local returning veterans.

Teen Challenge of Montana houses women for 18-months in a safe environment as they work to get their lives back on track. The organization accepts zero state or federal funding, and relies soley on donations and fundraisers.

"We decided to collaborate with Teen Challenge Montana because we know the results will change a life for the positive," said Apricot Lane Boutique owner Ellie Brown. "In fact, we believe it will save lives."

"The funds raised by this event will help build the commercial kitchen that will allow the women to learn business skills by creating retail products," explained Brown.

"Teen Challenge Montana holds a pledge that no woman will be turned away due to lack of funds. With the public's generous support at the annual Teen Challenge Montana Banquet, we can ensure that promise can continue to be upheld," describes Teen Challenge founder, Jan Henderson.

Brown is a local business owner who is opening Apricot Lane Boutique in Southgate Mall, Missoula, Montana. The store's grand opening is scheduled for April 7. She plans to support Teen Challenge on an ongoing basis by conducting and sponsoring different events throughout the year.
