Tennessee Author Releases Southern Lit Cozy Murder Mystery

Nashville, March 8, 2016 (Newswire.com) - ​leases Tennessee author Jacki Moss announced that she has released her first murder mystery, WITH A BULLET, through The Wild Rose Press.

The Southern Lit, cozy murder mystery is Moss’ first foray into the murder mystery genre. “I’ve written just about everything there is in the business, healthcare, and news genres, so I decided to jump out of my comfort zones and into fiction. A murder mystery was well beyond anything I had ventured into. Honestly, I didn’t even know where to start. Luckily, living in Nashville for a number of years gave me an inside peek at what goes on behind the scenes in the music industry,” Moss says. “And even luckier, I was born, raised and have lived most of my life in the Deep South. That’s where I find the quirky characters I write about.”

Cafton Merriepennie, the protagonist, is smart, compassionate, loyal, eccentric, and reclusive. He is also the preeminent songwriter in Nashville in the late 1960s. His childhood in a small Alabama town was tumultuous at best, treacherous at worst. When his mama was electrocuted on a honky-tonk stage, fifteen-year-old Cafton was on his own.
