Tennessee Gospel Group visits Amish Door Village

The McKameys, southern gospel group and recipient of most number-one hits, to perform in Amish Country

The McKameys started as a trio of sisters passionate about music and their faith. After 57 years of performing and a transition into six members who span three generations, the group will be traveling to Amish Door Village on July 29 for a family-friendly concert that is sure to be inspiring.

The McKameys are widely recognized for their sincerity and enthusiasm to spread their faith through gospel music. With over 21 number-one singles and the most number-one hits in the history of Southern Gospel music, the performance is full of life with well-known tunes, such as "I've Made Up My Mind" and "Who Put The Tears."

"We try to have fresh songs and new encounters with the Lord so we can pass them along to those in need of it," says Peg, who has received seven awards for Favorite Female Vocalist since she founded the group with her sisters in 1954.

Along with the entertainment, the Amish Door Restaurant provides a lavish home-cooked meal, including a fresh garden salad and their famous Amish Door pie.

All dinner theaters are held in the Amish Door Banquet Center in Wilmot at 1210 Winesburg Street, US 62. Seating begins at 6:15 p.m. Tickets are $38 with discounts available for groups. For reservations and information call 1-888-AMISH-DOOR or visit www.amishdoormarketplace.com.
