Terry's Ford Announces the New 2014 Mustang Cobra Jet Drag Racer

Online, March 26, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Terry's Ford is pleased to announce the 2014 Mustang Cobra Jet, which is now available to order for the 2014 NHRY Stock and Super Stock racing season. The vehicle starts with an MSRP of $97,990 with many different available options. It can be ordered by contacting Terry's Ford with the part number M-FR500-CJ.

The 2014 Mustang Cobra Jet is the follow up to last October's twin-turbo Cobra Jet. With that release, Ford heralded the merits of turbocharging over supercharging, but the 2014 Cobra Jet will feature a supercharger. The base engine is a 5.0L V8 and will come couple with a 2.9L supercharger blower. Also helping with performance is a brand-new three-speed racing transmission featuring SFI-approved housing.

With the release of the 2014 Mustang, Ford tried to make it more exclusive and collector desirable than its chief rival, the Chevrolet COPO Camaro. There will only be 50 Cobra Jets manufactured for the 2014 run while 69 COPO Camaro models will be manufactured.

The vehicle features a variety of highlights sure to impress racers and race enthusiasts. Ford offers a mount for a parachuted, electric-power steering, roll cage, and Recaro FIA seats inside its exclusive drag racer. They have also equipped each model with serial numbers to allow it to be easily and safely collected by drivers.

Drivers have the choice of many paint and graphic options like a snarly cobra. Color options include the striking "Gotta Have-it Green" and a flat black which is a customized color only available to this particular model. Color and graphic customizations options are not included in the $97,990 starting price.

Vehicle will be manufactured starting in July and running through October based on the specifications of the driver. Orders will be taken from now until the final 50th model has been purchased. There is no lottery and models will be available solely on a first come, first serve basis.
