Online local and national test lab directory network, TestLabProject.org, (TLP) has announced its official launch of a new advanced type of directory network for American test labs and associated industries.

Test Lab Project's comprehensive effort to redefine the nature and utility of test lab directories has resulted in an interrelated network of 23 TLP Test Lab Directory sites, anchored by a central "Test Lab Project Home" site for "sector" site coordination.

The TLP network Sector sites include titles like Aerospace Test Labs, Consumer Product Test Labs and Automotive Test Labs. Additional sectors include: Environmental, Calibration, Mechanical, Chemical, Food, Medical, Metals, Wireless, and Solar, to name a few.

One big goal of the Test Lab Project has been to make directory sites more interesting and useful, both at the reader level and within the sponsored community itself. After a great deal of consideration, TLP Staff feels they have arrived at a winning combination:

TLP network readers are coddled with features like keyword search, email-RSS Feed, Videos, attachment links and even slide shows. Likewise, Directory members can post events, announcements, and "Technical Shares" - in addition to their usual listings, for the benefit of the community.

There is good incentive for test labs to participate in these directories because every company post of worthwhile content such as an event or announcement tends to increase the company's internet visibility and authority rating with the search engines.

The search engines love fresh content. The more often your company posts in TLP directories, the more authority you will have on the internet.

Integrated posting features add "content opportunity" for labs and webmasters who want to increase their visibility on the net. Search engines and viewers alike appreciate sites that regularly add fresh content, so it's a win-win.

The added Announcement and InBox features give test labs, vendors, accreditors and their industry contacts a good way to stay in touch, and stay current. This makes our directories part "community" as well as a great search tools.

Fresh posts are featured. You'll show up in our searches fast, and your content will be interesting! Search any of our test lab directories by state, city, zip code, keyword - or even geo-location (pins-on-a-map.) All listing posts have convenient contact information and website link pointing back to you.

Future plans include adding more directories to the network as new search terms are vetted. TLP also plans to announce a new , all-inclusive Test Lab Forum in the very near-term, to help bring test labs and potential clients together in a relaxed setting.

Test Lab Project participants have been describing the experience as "spongy, very spongy indeed!"
