The 2010 Girl Power Expo a Whopping Success!
Online, July 13, 2011 (Newswire.com) - The Girl Power Expo for tween girls, ages 8 to 14, was a whopping success! More than 500 tween girls walked the exhibit hall at the Capital Clubhouse in Waldorf, Maryland on May 7, 2011. The Expo featured more than 40 companies and community agencies such as Tween Bling, U.S. Office on Women's Health, Best Bones Forever, Miss AJ World, My Bougie Baby, Rotten 2 the Core, I Never Game, Body Art U.S.A, Bold Girlz, and more! The event was hosted by youth sensation Leeah D, who returned from 2010.

A special thank you was given to tween, teen, and young adult celebrities for their autographed items. These celebrities included: Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Ashley Argota (Nickelodeon's True Jackson), Allisyn Ashley Arm (Disney's Sonny with a Chance), Kenton Duty (Disney's Shake it Up), and Victoria Justice (Nickelodeon's Victorious).
The purpose of the event was to offer a unique experience for tween girls. Tween girls had the opportunity to learn, shop, network, and have some fun. Our attendees visited us from Maryland, Virginia, Washington, DC, Delaware and more. Debra Moffitt, author of the Pink Locker Society, was in attendance.
Girls received a goodie bag full items from our sponsors such bracelets, toys, product samples, snacks, and information. They also got a chance to get glitter tattoos and mini makeovers.
