The 2010 Information Technology Confab for the Insurance Industry

Now, to undertake such innovation the International Association of Insurers has made the initial step which is to be done through staging the 2010 Information Technology Confab for the Insurance Industry in Brussels, Belgium.

The 2010 Information Technology Confab is a one-week event that will tackle all the issues that confront the insurance industry especially with its future utilization of the information technology. To achieve its objective, the Confab will feature several activities and events that are hope to be participated by all the stakeholders of the industry. Among such activities are different seminars and conferences that will tackle some issues and concerns on the use of technologies in the operation of the insurance companies. Such conference and seminars will feature experts both from the insurance industry and from information technology industry which include Mr. Daniel Cong of Microsoft, Ms. Deborah Smith of InfomDock, and Mr. John Callaway of Loyola Insurance Networks. The topics to be discussed at the conferences include the opportunities that can benefit the insurance companies and others.

Aside from the congresses and conventions that the Confab will stage, the said event will also highlight trade shows and exhibitions of products and services related to information technology which the insurance companies can use. With this, companies whose products are related to information technology are expected to participate in the said exhibition so that insurance companies can have the chance to choose the technology that can be right for them. Among the companies that are expected to participate in the said even are Microsoft Corp., Apple Inc. and International Business Machines (IBM).

The event is expected to benefit not only the health insurance companies but also its clientele. Aside from that, the Confab is expected to bring the industry to a greater height in terms of services to its clients.
