Popular Program Allows Coupon Friendly A Chance To Give Back

Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, May 2, 2013, Today, local 'Super Coupon Woman" has announced the 2nd Annual 100k Coupon Challenge to support area food banks nationwide was a success donating over 40,000 items that totaled in retail value at: $101,375.00!

The Coupon Challenge, which runs three times per year, originally began in the spring of 2011 as a unique way to help local food pantries across the country garner necessary supplies and food items by local residents with the help of coupons.

"I started donating to my local food pantry in May 2009 as a single mom with the help of coupons, I ask the community to turn in their unused coupons as a way to increase donations by matching coupons with the weekly sales to get items at a discount. I was personally able to donate over $17,000.00 last year alone!", said Tina M. Klein, proprietor of the program and also known as, "Super Coupon Woman".

Each participant is challenged to donate $1,000 in retail value of items such as food, health and beauty items to the charity of their choice, that will immediately benefit their community.

Through the cooperative efforts of various communities, last year the program had raised a total of more than $58,000 through 30 participants who accepted the opportunity to take part in the challenge.

"This year, we would like to inspire more coupon friendly shoppers to join the 3rd annual 100k coupon challenge, with only 7 participants throughout this challenge, I can only imagine what we can do with more participating. I look forward to calculating the totals for the 3rd annual Back to School Challenge going on now until August 24,2013!", concluded Klein.
