The 49th Edition of the Burton Ohio Antiques Market Opens on June 12th under New Management
Online, April 21, 2010 (Newswire.com) - (Burton, OH) - Don't miss what promises to be one of the most exciting events of the antiques show summer season. Now celebrating its 49th year, the Burton Antiques Market returns to the Geauga County Fairgrounds for the first of this year's semi-annual shows on June 12th. With 400 of America's leading dealers displaying their finest antiques and old collectibles, there promises to be something for everyone in every price range.
The show starts off at 8 a.m. Saturday morning, June 12th, for Early Buyers wanting to start the treasure hunt and get the first look at the vast array of merchandise being offered. Early Buyers admission is $20. The show continues Saturday from 10 - 5 with General Admission for $6.00. Ample nearby parking is free. Great food will be available from the dozens of concession stands. Lots of help will be on hand to assist customers purchasing items on the field to take the merchandise to a loading area where some of the local Amish men will help with loading.
The Show is now under the management of Ohio natives and nationally known show promoters Kay and Bill Puchstein. Kay Puchstein states "We have had a tremendous response from the both the buyers and the dealers. With two months to go until the first show, we already have more dealers signed up for this year than were present at last year's June show. Dozens of dealers who have not attended the show for years are signing up and coming back. It is going to be a very big show." Many of the returning vendors have done the show for over 30 years, some for over 40 years and a few for all 49 years.
If you are looking for investment quality antiques or desirable old collectibles, be sure not this miss this twice a year event. Silver, fine china, jewelry, porcelains, glassware, textiles, paintings, Americana, garden furniture, decorative accessories, rugs, primitives, old tools, and much, much more will be found.
The show will be held rain or shine on the racetrack in Burton at Ohio's oldest county fairgrounds. Most dealers will be under tents and many more vendors will be located inside under the grandstand. Burton is located just east of Cleveland in the rolling countryside of Northeast Ohio. The area around Burton is home to the largest Amish Community in the world.
