The Advance Group Acquires Sorensen Moving & Storage and Sorensen Logistics

NEW YORK, April 12, 2023 (Newswire.com) - The Advance Group (TAG), New York City's largest moving, logistics, delivery + installation, tech services and warehousing company, is pleased to announce its acquisition of Sorensen Moving & Storage and Sorensen Logistics, operating out of Orlando and Melbourne, Florida.

Sorensen, established in 1956, has continued through three generations of the Sorensen Family. Scott Sorensen gained control in 1977 and expanded through quality values, focused leadership, and customer service. After converting to Mayflower Van Lines and experiencing tremendous growth, Sorensen expanded into the Orlando market in 2013 with a 150,000 sf facility focused on logistics, commercial moving, installation, FF&E. Now occupying over 200,000 sf, Sorensen Moving & Storage is one of the largest family-owned moving companies.

An award-winning Mayflower Transit Agent and Office Moving Alliance (OMA) partner, Sorensen presented a perfect opportunity for TAG. TAG's household moving brand Molloy Moving & Storage, coupled with Sorensen Moving & Storage's capacity, expertise, and quality, results in one of Mayflower Transit's largest agents and interstate fleets.
