The Aerie Company President Named in Hot Mommas Project International Case Study Competition
Online, May 16, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Market leadership strategist Suzanne Ross has been honored by the Hot Mommas Project at George Washington University School of Business Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence as a winner in its 2011 international case study program featuring female role models and mentors. Her case study, Not Every Note Resonates the Way You Expect, was featured in the Top 25 Case Studies in this year's competition which is part of the award-winning women's leadership research venture.
The winning authors were honored at a ceremony in Washington, DC. Ms. Ross' case study is permanently archived at HotMommasProject.org in the case study library and is available free of charge to women and girls, educators, thought leaders, trainers and parents around the world.
The Hot Mommas Project is the world's largest women's case study library providing scalable online mentorship for women and girls. Founded in 2002 to fill a gap in the education system, Kathy Korman Frey, Harvard Business School MBA and Entrepreneur in Residence at The George Washington School of Business, developed the project to take stories of women and makes them into case studies or teachable stories. Through exposure to online role models and mentors, the venture's mission is to increase self-efficacy of women and girls across the globe, in turn opening their career opportunities. Seminars developed from The Hot Mommas Project case studies, as well as Frey's research, are proven to boost self-confidence in women ages 18 and over between 10 and 200 percent.
"I have been fortunate to be supported by great mentors throughout my career and learned that even the mentors need and benefit from ongoing mentoring," said Suzanne Ross, President of The Aerie Company. "An instinct for cultivating professionals is something I was blessed with so paying it forward is how I've continued to repay the debt of gratitude for all who have shared with me." Ms. Ross was nominated for the competition by her teenage daughter.
Laying marketing foundations, building and running departments and progressing from senior company roles to global consulting firms and on to chief marketing officer, Ms. Ross witnessed firsthand the frustration of middle market companies and their leaders to define and communicate value. That led her to create The Aerie Company in 2006 to help organizations and professionals build concise market leadership. As a market leadership strategist, Ms Ross has worked with 100+ public, private and non-profit organizations as well as hundreds of individuals to identify and articulate value, communicate with impact and advance their missions. From preparing for and integrating private equity and venture capital funded mergers, acquisitions and partnerships to launching blockbuster products, enhancing reputations and handling crises, she has become known for galvanizing strategy and positioning, and collaborating with senior leaders to accelerate growth.
