The American Daredevil Tommy Pearson Jumped a Car Over An Airplane in Flight

Online, July 10, 2013 (Newswire.com) - The American Daredevil® Tommy Pearson was the first to jump a Car over the Rio Grande River from USA to Mexico for the International Freedom Jump. After that, Tommy focused on a jump over a portion of the Grand Canyon. After these World Record Jumps, Tommy thought of another World Record attempt that has not been attempted.

The American Daredevil® Tommy Pearson made several practice runs, and when he felt it was right, Tommy drove the Toyota Stunt Car 70mph, up the 14 foot high ramp and launched his car over the Airplane as it flew under him at speeds of 170mph. Tommy launched his car over 30 feet high and jumped a total of 204 feet over an Airplane in flight. This is the first time a Daredevil has jumped an automobile over a Airplane in flight.

Rescue and Paramedics rushed to the car and checked on Tommy. Tommy finally got out of the car. Tommy was in great pain but was assisted to the land. Tommy was greeted by his wife Maria and gave her a kiss, then he conducted a couple of interviews. Tommy's pain got worse and about 20 minutes later was taken to St. Vincent Hospital. Tommy found out that he has broken his back in 3 places. He also crushed 3 vertebrates and had instability of the spinal column. Dr.Berchuck said that he don't understand how Tommy was walking, He stated that someone up stairs is watching over Tommy. Even with these injuries, Tommy still walked away. Tommy stated even though he ended up with these injuries, the jump was great and he would do it all again.
