The Case Against Bishop Eddie Long Appears To Be Entirely Circumstantial
PimpPreacher.com Reports - With no other victims coming forward or videos backing up the claims legal analysts are now tagging the lawsuit against Bishop Eddie Long as 100% circumstantial.
Online, November 3, 2010 (Newswire.com) - When CNN reported back in September that Bishop Eddie Long was the target of a lawsuit accusing him of coercing 4 men into sexual relationships, many followers of the scandal felt that the attorney for plaintiffs' would produced some form of proof other than a few workout photos. With no other victims coming forward or videos backing up the claims legal analysts are now tagging this lawsuit as 100% circumstantial.
A spokesperson for the Preacher Bureau of Investigations (www.PimpPreacher.com) issued a request to the plaintiffs' attorney B.J. Bernstein to produce physical evidence supporting the complaints but has yet to receive a reply.
"The legal definition of circumstantial evidence states that this type of evidence is indirect evidence. It is distinguished from direct evidence, which, if believed, proves the existence of a particular fact without any inference or presumption required. Circumstantial evidence relates to a series of facts other than the particular fact sought to be proved. We would hope that Ms. Bernstein would have more evidence than what has been released to the media to justify this world wind of controversy."
On Monday the avowedly Bishop Eddie Long specifically addressed the allegations by filing four separate court responses, nearly 30 pages each, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Long said in his filings that each of the "claims of sexual misconduct are not true."
The plaintiffs' attorney B.J. Bernstein claimed she doesn't have much physical evidence supporting the complaints, but that she intends to subpoena records from Long that will indicate he traveled with the young men to New Zealand and other destinations.
Two of the young men claim Long targeted them after they enrolled in the church's LongFellows Youth Academy, a program that taught teens about sexual, physical and financial discipline.
Bishop Eddie Long has compared himself to the Old Testament champion David in his battle against Goliath. Bishop Long has millions of dollars to fight these allegations which will serve as his rocks, which means the attorney Bernstein will need a little bit more than a few photos to win this epic battle.
