Continued power to cell phones and other devices can present a problem when not at home or in the office. The Charging Caddie will make power easily available. It is a portable, self-sustaining, wheeled table charging station for smartphones and other electronic devices featuring an integrally attached umbrella with a series of solar panels to provide power to the caddy. The Charging Caddy will be located at outdoor recreational locations such as beach resorts and public pools. The design intent is to provide an easily accessible means for recharging devices when outdoors where power outlets are not available while also providing shelter for these devices. A different option is more affordable—consists of just the umbrella with plugs/outlets, USB ports and batteries built right into the umbrella shaft and can be used on any patio table or take to the beach or park.
The Charging Caddy provides cellular telephone user and users of other electronic devices such as tablets and e-readers, with an effective means of maintaining a fully charged device at all times. It extends to a height of six to seven feet the umbrella supplies power to the kiosk and also allows protection of expensive devices against the elements. The hub is outfitted with a series of AC power outlet and USB charging docks. Public venues might charge a nominal fee for the service or can be utilized as an amenity to visitor of resorts, hotels and public pools. Televised test marketing has recently been completed indicating strong consumer interest in The Charging Caddy
The Patent Pending Charging Caddy was invented by Gregory Varacek of Blue Point, NY who said, “While electricity is a vital component of our lives today, it is not always immediately available when needed. Keeping phones and other electronic devices charged can be a challenge when outlets are not accessible. The Charging Caddy solves that problem with ease. It works perfectly.”
