The CIO Utilities Summit welcomes Stuart Ravens, Principal Analyst in Energy & Utilities Technology at Ovum as Master of Ceremonies

Principal Analyst in Energy & Utilities Technology at Ovum, a world-class technology research and analyst firm, will be the Master of Ceremonies at the upcoming CIO Utilities event

The CIO Utilities Summit team is pleased to announce that Stuart Ravens, Principal Analyst in Energy & Utilities Technology at Ovum, a world-class technology research and analyst firm, will be the Master of Ceremonies at the upcoming IT event to be held on April 18-21, 2010, at InterContinental Montelucia Resort in Scottsdale, AZ.

The CIO Utilities Summit is the leading Smart Grid event for technology professionals in the utilities industry, giving attendees the chance to attend educational sessions, network with peers and discuss critical IT solutions. This year's strategic agenda focuses on the latest technology issues and trends in the utilities industry, including Smart Grid, the mobile workforce, energy efficiency and predictive analytics.

Ravens has worked in Ovum's commercial verticals team since May 2008 and is currently responsible for Ovum's Energy & Utilities workstream. He works closely with analysts within Datamonitor's energy business unit as well as horizontal analysts within Ovum, providing clients with technology analysis through a business lens.

As the Master of Ceremonies, Ravens will play a key role in determining the topics to be discussed at the event as well as give the IT event's opening and closing comments. He will also be presenting the CIO Thought-Leadership discussion, "The Role of Predictive Analytics in Asset Management to Help Reduce Incidents of Condition-Based or Emergency Maintenance in Both Generation and T&D Settings" and moderating the CIO Executive Visions panel, "Customer Data Storage and Data Management."
