The DAVE School to Sponsor Orlando Film Festival in 2011 Chevrolet Fireball Run Adventurally for Missing Kids and Giving One Filmmaker a Big Break

ORLANDO, FL - The Digital Animation and Visual Effects School, the world's leading 3D modeling, animation and visual effects school, is proud to be sponsoring the Orlando Film Festival's entry into the 2011 Chevrolet Fireball Run Adventurally. While the Rally searches for missing children, the Orlando Film Festival team will also be accepting film submissions along the route. One lucky filmmaker will be chosen for a red carpet world premiere at the 2012 Orlando Film Festival.
Dan Springen, Executive Director of Orlando Film Festival, is honored to be sponsored by The DAVE School. He will be competing in the 2011 Chevrolet Fireball Run Adventurally, driving his Cadillac CTS. Other notable participants are Daytona 500 Winner and NASCAR legend Geoff Bodine, Space Shuttle Astronaut Winston Scott, and Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka founder Scott Newitt.
Nearly 50 teams will compete in the over 2,500 mile, 8 day adventure, driving everything from Lamborghini's and Camaro's to the DeLorean "Time Car" from Back to the Future. Each team is assigned a missing child from their home region and given thousands of posters to distribute. A decal featuring the child is also placed on the vehicle, creating a rolling milk carton. The Race to Recover America's Missing Children is the largest active recovery effort for missing and exploited children in the country. To date, the effort has helped recover 36 missing children.
Student and independent filmmakers along the route are encouraged to participate in the open film competition. For details on how to pass a film entry along to Dan Springen, they should contact the film commission or board in their city/state.
The 2011 Chevrolet Fireball Run Adventurally, whose top sponsors include GM and Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka, is headquartered at the NBC UNIVERSAL Studios in Orlando Florida. The rally will start on September 23rd on Florida's Space Coast and conclude on October 1st in the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The event encourages the public to come out, get autographs, and show their support. Other 2011 destinations are Peachtree City, GA, Knoxville, TN, Clarksville, TN, Anniston, AL, and Gulf Port, MS. The DAVE School is proud to be a part of such an important event.
