The End of hCG Diets - New From the American Medical Association
Scottsdale Weight Loss Center physicians pleased that hCG diets are coming to an end and the American Medical Association has weighed in on this inappropriate and dangerous treatment.

The use of hCG as a diet and a weight loss tool began in Italy in the 1950s. From its inception, studies failed to prove its value as a weight loss tool. All reliable studies showed that hCG does not add anything to the calorie restriction in the diet. “If you go on a 500 calorie diet, you’ll lose weight. Much of that weight will be muscle rather than fat. Regain occurs as soon as you normalize your diet,” adds Ziltzer.
The FDA, Obesity Medicine Association and The Obesity society have all have spoken out against hCG. Dr. Primack appeared twice on the Dr. Oz show speaking out on the dangers of hCG.
