The Fiesta ECOnetic Available for Test Drive at Cumberland Ford
Online, March 29, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Blacktown, Australia, 26 March, 2010 - Cumberland Ford, the dealers of Ford Cars, has recently launched The Fiesta Econetic, new brand of Ford, which is available for test drive and purchase. Edging out its rival, Fiesta Econetic has already been awarded as Carsguide green car of the year.
The Econetic turbo-diesel, being the most expensive Fiesta on sale, is the first series of Fords that will provide the company, fuel economy upper hand in every domain in which it competes. Carrying a $24,990 drive away price tag, it emits only 98 grams of harmful C02 on every kilometer drive.
You can drive Fiesta Econetic without much fuss even if you haven't tried it earlier. It can drop as low as 3.5 litres per 100 km in 80 km per hour traffic outside Canberra.
At highway speeds the engine sound is almost non-existent. The car's ride height has been done to 10 mm and there are unique air deflectors to cut down drag. The Econetic reached a high fuel economy figure of 3.7 litres/100km. The latest USB connectivity and Bluetooth facilitation are widely been expected by young buyers.
Certain basic features are
• In the indicator panel a green shift indicator light has been installed which signals the optimal point to change gear to optimize fuel economy
• Low rolling resistance tyres
• Longer final drive gear proportion
• Developed aerodynamics, special wheel covers, air deflectors and reduced ride height
"The Econetic will travel more than 1000 km between refills" as per Ford's own estimations. Ford Australia chief executive officer and president, Marin Burela, has high hopes for the 1.6-litre TDCi, he says company is committed to achieving "fuel economy leadership in every segment in which we compete".
Burela says any fuel efficient strategy "must go down that path of affordable economy".
