The First Self Sufficient and Sustainable Well Being Center in the Peruvian Amazon

Peru, April 6, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Alternative to conventional tourism- Inti Eco Lodge is a non profit Center of Well Being as it invites people to come in this special place of learning and growing. Inti Eco Lodge promotes a healthy life style and self development through the benefits of producing our own food, enriching activities and spiritual opening. The construction and idiology of the lodge is based on several Earthship Biotecture concepts (radically sustainable buildings) allowing the center to sustain itself and its guests to be completely self sufficient.

Self sufficiency & Sustainability- Inti Eo Lodge is a typical amazonian wood construction but is the first lodge implementing Earthship's concepts. Rain water is treated and used repeatedly and solar energy will provide electricity (photovoltaics). An evacuation system (sewage) will be set up, which will not pollute the earth or the surrounding rivers and allow watering outdoor planting fruits and vegetables. Thus, the "black water" of kitchen sinks (containing solids) will go directly to the septic tank where it is treated and then feed the outdoor botanical cell. On the other hand, "grey water" (water used once) from shower and sink in the bathroom will fuel the growing of fruits, vegetables and fish from the greenhouse. Therefore, this center, when finished, will be completely autonomous.

Well being & Spirituality- Inti Eco Lodge will propose various activities in areas dedicated to embrace people, such as yoga, meditation, danse and massages. Other spaces will be devoted to creativity development like painting, scupting and different workshops to discover natural medicine, cooking, diets, gardening, permaculture and how to grow your own fruits, vegetables and medicinal plants. The Center will provide a natural swimming pool and guests will be invited to go fishing with the locals. The Maloca (sacred place) will be dedicated to Shamanic ceremonies in order to allow interested people to reach a certain spiritual level during their ceremonies but also for their diet and meditation period.

Social media implication and Volunteering-A Facebook page was launched 5 months ago and is now followed by over 6000 people from all over the world, with more than 1000 likes per month! Since that, several articles have been published (see below), other manazines contacted us, TV channels are coming to film the evolution of the project in May and volunteers from around the world come and help us on the land.

The construction of the Lodge started in November 2014. Inti Eco Lodge is now aiming to raise money to keep building this non profit well being center! Therefore, the Indiegogo fundraising Campaign has been launched the 1st of April 2015!
