The Ford EcoBoost Challenge Is Coming to Arlington Park

Online, June 14, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Arlington Heights Ford has announced that the Ford EcoBoost Challenge will be coming to Arlington Park on June 29th. The event gives customers an opportunity to see how Ford's new EcoBoost-enhanced vehicles match up against rival models from competing automakers. In order to sign up for this event, those interested must fill out this form to receive a VIP Challenge Pass that will hold their spot.

During the Ford EcoBoost Challenge, customers will be able to drive the all-new Ford Fusion and Ford Escape against competitor models with similar technology in order to experience the powerful, efficient advantage that EcoBoost offers Ford drivers. Ford is also giving customers the opportunity to drive the new Ford Fiesta ST before it becomes available to the public. Each event will include an ST Performance Academy, which is a hyper-mile challenge where participants can compete head-to-head in hybrid Ford automobiles on a course.

The 2013 Ford Fusion is equipped with the available 2.0L Ti-VCT I-4 EcoBoost engine, giving drivers an EPA-estimated 22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway while also putting out 178 hp and 184 lb-ft. of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed SelectShift automatic transmission for optimum control and fuel-efficiency.

The 2014 Ford Escape also has an available 2.0L EcoBoost engine that offers an EPA-estimated 22 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway while producing 240 hp and 270 lb-ft. of torque. The new Escape utilizes a turbocharged induction system for a high-performance ride without sacrificing gas mileage.
