The Ford Escape Soccer Skills Challenge

Online, May 22, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Terry's Ford, a local Peotone, IL Ford dealer, is collaborating with U.S. Club Soccer, iSoccer, and the Manteno Youth Soccer Association to create the Ford Escape Soccer Skills Challenge. Open to children ages 8 to 13, the Soccer Skills Challenge will take place on Saturday, June 22nd from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Peotone Community Park on South West Street.

The Ford Escape Soccer Skills Challenge is part of a wider effort by Ford dealers throughout the Great Lakes Region to promote exercise and outdoor competition and fun for kids. Ford dealers throughout the Midwest will be sponsoring hundreds of skills challenges this summer with area YMCAs, youth soccer clubs, and local schools.

On the day of the competition, children will test their soccer skills in several key areas of ball control: toe taps, foundations, juggling right foot only, juggling left foot only, figure-eight dribbling right foot only, and figure eight-dribbling left foot only.

The first 50 participating children who arrive on site and are pre-registered for the event or have gone through the on site registration will receive a free t-shirt and a two-month iSoccer Plus membership. The boy and girl winners of the local Peotone Ford Escape Soccer Skills Challenge will each receive a trophy, while the winners of the regional Finals will get a jersey drawstring bag and a Nike Official U.S. Soccer Jersey.

In addition to the winning children of the competitions, one parent or legal guardian of a participating child will be randomly selected to win a new Ford vehicle of their choice for up to a $30,000 value!
