The GCC Infra Facilities Management Summit: What to Expect

Latest Facilities Management strategies , solutions and products for the region to be showcased

The region's most authoritative event on Facilities Management (FM) - The GCC Infra Facilities Management Summit - is all set to take place between the 21st and 23rd of September, 2013 in Doha, Qatar, as leading experts and technology providers gather to share and discuss the latest Facilities Management techniques, solutions and products for the region. Organized by Fleming Gulf , the first edition of the summit includes a two-day conference programme that features industry leaders, case studies, interactive panel discussions and a networking reception. At the end of the two-day conference, an intensive workshop programme will then be conducted on "Mobilization a myth or an art!" developing an atmosphere of mutual benefit by Qatar Green Building Council. It will be lead by workshop leader Richard Jowsey, member and industry expert - Qatar Green Building Council and co-workshop Leader Collette Hijlkema , also from Qatar Green Building Council. The workshop will cover decisive steps of mobilization techniques and a systematic approach to prepare in advance for transition leading to a steady state.

A pre-conference workshop will also be conducted on the 21st of September 2013 comprising of hands-on activities, overview and exercises. Workshop leader Ali Alsuwaidi, Board Director - MEFMA, will focus on FM considerations from the design to the handover stage which will give participants a thorough understanding on how FM acts as a backbone for the maintenance and upkeep of buildings. The workshop will be followed by a site visit, hosted by MEFMA and supported by Qatar Foundation to Tornado Tower, a structural mega building which changes the skyline of the desert metropolis. The extravagant construction consists of a rhombic steel structure with floor-to-ceiling glazing and a column-free interior.

The summit will host a two-day exhibition that will feature the latest technology offerings in the market from some of the world's leading providers of products and services. FM solutions experts such as Kharafi National, Cofely Besix, eMaximo Solutions, Qatar Intercare, I.C.M.E, USM Facilities, Brookfield Multiplex and OCS, will showcase their products that have helped companies streamline and control processes and costs in the long run.
