The Handy Helper Aids Contractor Dealing With A Door

For working on a door, the new Handy Helper will keep the door stationary during repair and installation work.

Anyone who has ever tried to work on a door, such as a painter, a locksmith, a door mechanic, or a construction worker, knows how time-consuming and annoying it can be because the door continually moves on its hinges. Tradesmen and do-it-yourselfers need a product that will keep the door stationary during installation and repair jobs. That product is The Handy Helper. Specially designed for holding a door of any size and weight in place while it is being worked upon, The Handy Helper provides tradesmen and do-it-yourselfers with a simple, yet effective, way to easily and quickly complete a job. Fabricated of a durable metal material, The Handy Helper is portable, lightweight, and can be compacted to fit in a pocket or toolbox. The Handy Helper can also be used as a door stop by folding it closed and flipping it upside down. Televised test marketing has been completed indicating an exceptional consumer response to The Handy Helper.

The Patent Pending The Handy Helper was invented by Thomas Orzo of Ossining, NY, who said, “To use The Handy Helper, extend the unit by unfolding the two pivoting sections so that the tool is at its full length. Next, place the Handy Helper flat on the floor, next to the door. Then slip it underneath the door's bottom and position the vertical extension so that it is flush against the opposite side of the door. Stand or kneel on The Handy Helper and push the door against the vertical extension, securing the door firmly in place. Now the door will stay firmly in place while one changes a lock, installs a panic device, replaces windows in glass doors, sands away paint, or simply cleans the door.”

The inventor added, “One advantage of The Handy Helper is that with it one is able to do the repair or installation job alone. Another person doesn't have to be asked, or paid, to hold the door while the work is being done.”
