Report: Apple planning to unveil iPad 2 March 2

This next generation of the iPad is expected to be thinner than the original version and will include an improved display, a front-facing camera and Facetime video chat support. Other reports say the device will use a Qualcomm multi-mode chip, which is capable of running on CDMA and GSM networks globally.

Apple has officially confirmed its March 2 special event at 10:00AM PT (Noon ET) in San Francisco with no formal announcement as to what's being unveiled. However, telltale signs indicated by the peeled back calendar page graphic emblazoned with a large number "2" on the event announcement, infers that we are likely looking the highly anticipated iPad 2.
