The Latest From Avid At The September Editors' Lounge
Online, September 20, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Avid has recently improved workflow speeds and openness in Media Composer 6.5 with several new key enhancements. On Friday, September 28th the Editors' Lounge will be hosting an exclusive evening with Avid. Avid Application Specialist Bob Russo will be demonstrating how these new tools have improved speed and also allow the flexibility needed for creating many different looks. The event will be held at AlphaDogs Post Production 1612 W. Olive Ave., Burbank, CA 91506 beginning at 6:30 pm. RSVP is required in order to attend.
Exciting highlights of the evening include Avid's media authoring that solves the challenge of working with a wide variety of input formats and delivery of multiple output formats by mastering and archiving projects more efficiently. Avid's Audio enhancements include the addition of advanced audio keyframing that accelerates the automation process within and among audio tracks. With the support for 64 audio voices, video editors are now able gain more power to work with multiple stem mixes and play them all back simultaneously. The new advanced relink support-using metadata editors gain even more flexibility to interact with media from third-party applications, such as DaVinci Resolve. Another exciting new feature is the expanded relink support that enables users the ability to dynamically reconnect clips to new or original media using a wide variety of common metadata fields. In addition with the use of active format description support editors can now simply activate and deactivate hardware to pass control back and forth between Media Composer and third-party applications such as Adobe After Effects or Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve.
The Editors' Lounge offers the opportunity to learn from post-production industry peers and networking with new and old friends. The Lounge opens at 6:30 pm with presentations beginning at 7:00 pm. RSVP is required to attend. The price of admission is to bring your favorite beverage. Editors' Lounge will provide the food.
