The London Clinic selects Q-Pulse to manage Document Control
Online, April 21, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Q-Pulse will help the Clinic to achieve and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Regulated by a number of authorities, including the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and Human Tissue Authority (HTA), the Clinic previously used a manual paper based system to manage their Document Control processes. To ease the tracking of which documents required review and by whom, a holistic view was required to enable the Clinic to effectively manage and centralise these individual processes to comply with standards including Clinical Pathology Accreditation (CPA).
Q-Pulse from Gael Ltd was chosen to help manage and improve the company's internal Document Management system, and help The London Clinic establish a framework to maintain and improve how defined quality processes and procedures are managed.
A fully equipped acute care hospital, The London Clinic has been established for 75 years and is the largest independently owned non profit hospital in the UK. Offering a complete range of medical and surgical diagnosis and treatment options, the new state-of-the-art pathology department houses the very latest technology in a large, purpose-built space to ensure the most efficient, high-quality testing for its patients.
Beverley Barker, Pathology Quality Manager at The London Clinic said,
"As we fully participate in National External Quality Assurance Schemes (NEQAS), as well as strict internal quality assurance and audit programmes, we required a system which enabled us to effectively meet the requirements of these - Q-Pulse met this criteria.
Managing compliance activities within our new pathology department with Q-Pulse will help us save time and resources, allowing us to focus on delivering the best service to our clients. Q-Pulse will enable us to streamline our lab activities, enabling us to efficiently manage these processes and procedures in order to easily maintain regulatory requirements."
