The Lutgert Companies Wins Aurora Awards in North Carolina and Florida

NAPLES, Fla., August 22, 2019 (Newswire.com) - ​​The Lutgert Companies was honored with a Grand Aurora Award for the Evergreen model home in The Cottages at Cranberry Cove in Linville, North Carolina. Located in Linville Ridge Golf and Country Club, The Lutgert Companies’ private residential community near Blowing Rock, the home was named Best Single Family Detached Model Home, 2,000 to 2,999 square feet. The company also earned three Silver Awards for its model homes in The Oaks at Linville Ridge, Residences at Mercato in Naples, and Estuary at Grey Oaks in Naples.

The Evergreen model was built at an elevation of approximately 4,000 feet, situated on a minimum of one acre, with breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountain range. Encompassing 2,893 heated square feet, three bedrooms plus a den and three-and-a-half baths, design objectives of the model include blending the home into the natural topography and surroundings with limited impact to the environment.

The 3,003-square-foot Horizon model home, in Linville Ridge’s The Oaks community, won the Silver Award for Best Single Family Detached Model Home — 3,000 to 3,499 square feet. The four-bedroom, four-bath, golf cart-accessible residence offers a spacious outdoor living area, a two-car garage and long-range Blue Ridge Mountain views.

Le Jardin, a model situated in The Lutgert Companies’ Residences at the Mercato community in Naples, took home the Silver Award for Best Single Family Detached Model Home — 3,500 to 3,999 sq. ft. Featuring three bedrooms plus cabana and four-and-a-half baths, the design of the 3,516-square-foot Le Jardin delivered a high-end, low-maintenance single-family home with large interior spaces that are naturally lit and provide a true sense of privacy, as well as seamless interior-to-exterior living. The inviting exterior living spaces are directly adjacent to the interior living spaces, with finishes that provide interest, warmth and a sense of casual livability.

The Captiva model home, built in Estuary at Grey Oaks, took Silver Award honors in the Best Single Family Detached Model Home — over 4,000 square feet category. The nearly 6,700-square-foot residence includes four bedrooms plus club room, four full and two half baths and a second-story lounge. The design team integrated elements such as the custom climate-controlled wine cooler, dual-use study/club room with built-in cabinetry and wet bar and an elevator with custom cabinet finishes to bring function and create an elegant, transitional-style home.

The annual industry gala was held at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando on August 2. Established in 1979, the Aurora Awards are presented annually by the Florida Home Builders Association and the Southeast Building Conference to outstanding builders, planners, architects, developers, designers and interior merchandisers. This year’s competition drew nearly 400 entries in 54 categories.
