The Michigan Lean Consortium to host event Dec. 4 at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital in Pontiac with officer elections following

The Michigan Lean Consortium, along with the Pawley Learning Institute at Oakland University, will host its next lean thinking event Friday, Dec. 4 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital in Pontiac.

PONTIAC, Mich. - The Michigan Lean Consortium (MLC), along with the Pawley Learning Institute at Oakland University, will host its next lean thinking event Friday, Dec. 4 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital, located at 44405 Woodward Ave. in Pontiac. Lean thinking focuses on developing excellence by identifying what is of highest value to stakeholders and customers, and then allocating resources to achieve these goals while eliminating waste.

St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital will present lean in health care and have a tour of key areas where lean has been implemented. Breakfast will be served. The event is free and open to everyone. MLC officer elections will follow at The Iroquois Club in Bloomfield Hills until 2 p.m. The lunch buffet is $27 per person.
