The Miss Black New Jersey USA 2011 Pageant

Online, July 31, 2010 (Newswire.com) - The Miss Black New Jersey USA Pageant seeks to showcase the talent, beauty, and intellect of young women to family, friends, and a panel of judges in 2011 in order to recognize the their talents and achievements.

Applicants must be between the ages of eighteen and twenty-seven by the date that the pageant takes place and be either a high school graduate or in their senior year of high school. Applicants must live, work, or attend school in New Jersey, and, in addition, must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher at the time of application. Finally, in order to be considered, young women intending to enter the pageant must be United States citizens who are unmarried, in excellent health, and committed to service.

The criteria for judging the Miss Black New Jersey USA Pageant is based upon the scores from five areas of competition, including a personal interview, the on-stage question and answer, talent, evening gown, and personal fitness. Prizes for contestants include a complimentary ticket to the pageant, gifts to commemorate their experience, and superlative awards. For the Miss Black New Jersey USA Pageant winner, prizes include the official New Jersey State Crown and sash, roundtrip airfare to the national pageant, hotel accommodations at the national pageant, $2,500 cash, a photo shoot, and more.
