The New Diesel Powered KM3400DXR Pressure Washer With Reduction Gearbox

Online, October 20, 2011 (Newswire.com) - The new Kiam KMR3400DXR pressure washer features a 2/1 reduction gearbox coupled to a 1600 rpm 3 piston brass pump. This type of pump works at relatively slow rpm to give solid, reliable service in industrial environments.

The brass pump is coupled to an external bypass unloader valve; which allows the operator on release of the trigger, to either, dump the bypassed water on the floor, or bypass the water back into a header tank/water bowser to ensure the pump stays cool. Although the pump is rated at 4000psi, Kiam have set up the pump to operate at 3400psi - ensuring the engine and unloader valve to operate well within their capacity and therefore give much longer life.

The Kiam range now feature the Loncin 10 H.P. diesel engine fitted with electric start; making it a popular choice for professional jet washers and industrial users alike. The throttle mechanism on the engine benefits from a variable control knob - which allows the engine speed to be locked into position and easily set.

The KM3400DXR can be set up to run off the normal mains water supply, or can suck water from a water bowser or water tank, using its own suction kit supplied. Another feature of the DXR is the TRV valve (thermal relief valve) which is fitted to the high pressure pump to ensure that - even if the pump is left switched on for long periods of time - it will never overheat.
