The "New Face" of Global Goods Partners

New Look, New Partners for Global Goods Partners

New York, NY Sept. 15, 2009 - Global Goods Partners (GGP), a New York based, fair trade not-for-profit organization, has a new look and an expanded range of products for fashion-forward, socially responsibly shoppers. With nine new global partners joining GGP's roster of handcraft artisan groups, GGP now offers products from 22 countries in Asia, Africa, the Americas and the Middle East. To mark this expansion, GGP is relaunching its website today, with new features that make online shopping easier, friendlier and more rewarding. The sleek new homepage highlights the work of GGP, its global community based partners and the wealth of information and resources available on the GGP site.

"We strive to provide beautiful high quality products that demonstrate the diversity of local resources, techniques and traditions that women craftworkers around the world incorporate into their work. With each product, we include information about its origin and the impact the purchase of the product can have on the artisan, her family and her community," said Joan Shifrin, a GGP co-founder.

About Global Goods Partners
Global Goods Partners (GGP) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering women to achieve economic security, education and health care for themselves and their families. Employing the model of Fair Trade as the engine of change, GGP supports women-led community based organizations in marginalized regions in Asia, Africa, the Americas and the Middle East by providing grants and technical assistance, and securing access to markets in the US for the handcrafted products they produce. GGP promotes social responsibility and conscious consumerism by providing extensive online information about its partners, their products and the countries where they work. GGP's popular fundraising program promotes fair trade products to raise money for schools and nonprofit organizations as an alternative to selling less environmentally and socially conscious products.
