The New York Center For Advanced Parathyroid Surgery Is Now Using The Tosoh AIA-360 For Rapid Intraoperative Parathyroid Hormone Testing (IOPTH).

The intraoperative PTH testing is performed on most patients undergoing parathyroid surgery. The purpose of the test is to ensure that there is a "chemical" cure to the hyperparathyroidism, or overactivity of the parathyroid glands, following procedures.
