The Open Innovation Programme BIND 4.0 Seeks Innovative Tech Startups for Industry 4.0
BILBAO, Spain, July 13, 2022 (Newswire.com) - The Open Innovation & Acceleration Programme, BIND 4.0, has just launched its seventh edition open call to search for the most innovative technology startups around the world, with the aim of creating new disruptive projects in the hands of 70 large collaborating companies of international reference. This seventh edition will accept solutions with applications in the fields of Intelligent Industry, Clean Energy & Sustainability, Food and Health, until September 8.
BIND 4.0 is a public-private Industry 4.0 initiative created by the Department of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment of the Basque Country (Spain) and through the SPRI Group, which has become an international benchmark programme since its foundation in 2016. Since then, BIND 4.0 has accelerated more than 160 startups and developed more than 240 projects, exceeding seven million euros in turnover.
An Innovation Catalyst, BIND 4.0 Connects Startups with Clients
Currently, BIND 4.0 has two initiatives to innovate in the industry: an acceleration and open innovation programme aimed at startups to develop projects with large corporate companies and the BIND 4.0 SME Connection programme aimed at developing new technologies in collaboration with industrial SMEs.
BIND 4.0 has three main objectives: to accelerate the development of startups in the Basque industrial ecosystem, to promote the digital transformation of companies and to position the Basque ecosystem as a hub for advanced industrial entrepreneurship. This triple objective has helped it to position itself at the international level, as one of the programmes that is most committed to innovation, technology and entrepreneurship. Each year, BIND 4.0 seeks out the most innovative technology startups from around the world with the aim of creating new disruptive projects for industry. This is achieved thanks to the support of the 70 international benchmark companies that form part of BIND 4.0. Specifically, these partner companies will be in charge of selecting the startups that will ultimately participate in the seventh edition of the programme.
