The Particular World Of The Fugue Form: Bach's Supreme Art Of Fugue Recorded By Mehmet Okonsar

Introducing the Cd of the "Art of Fugue", BWV 1080, by Johann Sebastian Bach performed by Mehmet Okonsar on church organ and harpsichord.

The actual work is carried out with an exquisite organ made on Baroque organ concepts.

Mehmet Okonsar set the tracks in a way that the Fugues, performed on organ, are in groupings by genres i.e. "simple fugues", "rhythmical variations", "inverted fugues" and so on; and he interjected in between them the various canons that he played on harpsichord.

The sound associated with the actual organ is always clean and does not obscure the contrapuntal lines played with highest detail along with purity.

The CD features the totality of the pieces of the BWV 1080. Many of those recordings are available as video clips on the artists Youtube(r) channel: mokonsar.

All pieces can be auditioned at Okonsar's homepage: http://www.okonsar.com/Recordings.html .
