The Porsche Macan Turbo Made Its Way to Almeria, Spain Via Santa Monica Productions
Online, November 25, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Santa Monica Productions recently serviced the filming a video about a new car from the Porsche car company that was just recently released. This video about the Porsche Macan Turbo was filmed in the province of Almeria, a area on the southeastern coast of Santa Monica's home country of Spain.
The video features a series of scenes of the Porsche Macan Turbo driving along the roads in the province of Almeria. We Use a Shot maker with a GF 6 crane and octocopter to get flying shoots of the beautiful new Macan .
A few of the scenes allow the camera's viewing point to move to the side by a few feet to give the viewer a better look of the scene. This is especially the case in shots where the car is driving along a larger road at a faster speed.
The scenes are well-lit and allow people to get a very close view of the car. The bright sky in Almeria was highly conducive in creating an atmosphere that makes the videos very easy to watch and enjoy.
Some tracking shots were also used. Santa Monica Productions used its experience in making car shoots for Aston Martin, BMW and other companies to develop a series of tracking shots that could move at a speed that is slightly slower than what the Porsche was going at during filming and then track onto the car as needed.
The use of Almeria as a destination for shooting the film was particularly critical to the production process. Almeria was used as the place is noted for having a large series of hills and valleys that are easy to close off for when car footage like what Santa Monica made is used.
The arid spaces also allow for a very picturesque scene. In fact, many of these spaces are in spots where famed western movie director Sergio Leone made many of his films. The La Alcazaba section of town was especially noteworthy although a few shots were taken along the the waterfront of the El Toyo - Almeria to add a bit of a dramatic detail to the video.
Many of these shots even take place right at the ground. This is to let the press see firsthand how the Porsche Macan Turbo's wheels can grip to the road.
This video was recorded for EVO SIEBEN in Munich and was directed by Michael Martin. Gerald Gareis was the director of photography. The video does not have any voiceovers, thus allowing people to watch the video and experience the roar of the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine.
Finally, the clear skies of Almeria were especially supportive throughout the entire production process. Almeria hardly ever gets precipitation so it was helpful. These skies allowed Santa Monica to record some takes that used a bit of a lens flare effect off of the sun's natural rays to create a striking look without getting in the way of the car as it moves around.
The video for the Porsche Macan Turbo will go public soon, thus allowing the press to see this new car in action. This video heavily utilizes Almeria to showcase the things that the car can do while also getting plenty of help from the production professionals at Santa Monica.
