The Red Songbird Foundation Announces Addiction Residential Treatment Scholarship in Partnership With Gratitude Lodge
Applications began on March 15 and will run until April 1
LOS ANGELES, March 16, 2021 (Newswire.com) - The Red Songbird Foundation has announced their addiction residential treatment scholarship in partnership with Gratitude Lodge. The applications began March 15 and will run until April 1. The recipient of the scholarship will be given a minimum 30-day residential treatment at the Gratitude Lodge in Newport Beach.
The scholarship is intended for individuals who are suffering with addiction, alcoholism or substance abuse. The ideal candidate is someone who shows a desire to spark change in their life but does not have the means to do so due to financial limitations. The goal of the partnership with Gratitude Lodge is to bring awareness that the disease of addiction does not discriminate and provide insight to find a possible solution to those who may be or may have walked similar paths.
The scholarship will be a collaborative effort between RSF and its top treatment partner, Gratitude Lodge. RSF will finance the treatment of a deserving recipient, although with a few meaningful prerequisites. For more information, please visit: https://www.redsongbird.org/rsf-gratitude-lodge-scholarship
ABOUT THE RED SONGBIRD FOUNDATION
Hilary Roberts started the work of the Red Songbird Foundation (RSF) a decade ago and made the foundation official in 2019. A survivor herself, the foundation aims to help survivors of trauma caused by sexual, physical, and verbal abuse, by providing counseling, assisting members to enter treatment, and by integrating members into support groups that specifically address their primary issues. RSF has already implemented dozens of scholarships, for example the #GiveGriefAChance Campaign amidst COVID-19, which included a $100K donation to the Beach House Treatment Center in Malibu (NBC) The recipient will spend three to six months getting specialized treatment from a team of medical experts. The scholarships are aimed towards helping those less fortunate who are affected by trauma, mental health and alcoholism/substance abuse in addition to bringing thought leaders in the field to provide education to the public. RSF now hosts names such as Jason Wahler ("The Hills") and Brandy Ledford (Baywatch) as board members.
