The Results Are In: PioneerRx Outperforms Competitors in Independent Pharmacy Software Study
IRVING, Texas, August 19, 2019 (Newswire.com) - PioneerRx is pleased to announce the results of a 2019 market study analyzing pharmacy software usage within the independent pharmacy industry. PioneerRx has gained substantial leadership within the industry, outperforming top competitors, such as McKesson, ComputerRx, Liberty and Rx30.
The goal of this research was to identify market shares, compare customer satisfaction scores and evaluate competitive switching. The survey was conducted by Direct Opinions as a double-blind study through direct telephone calls. The Hayes Directory was used as a participant pool, consisting of 20,088 independent pharmacies across the United States. Data was successfully collected from 2,007 respondents, meeting the minimum criteria for the study.

The most notable findings of the study include:
PioneerRx is the most converted to software system.
Almost double the number of independent pharmacists who changed systems within the past year chose PioneerRx, compared to the next closest competitor. PioneerRx topped the chart with 38% of all conversions, followed by a runner-up of 21%. (Refer to Image 1 below.)
PioneerRx is the most installed software system of newly opened pharmacies.
Independent pharmacists who started their own pharmacy within the past year chose PioneerRx almost 2 to 1, in comparison with the next closest competitor. PioneerRx led the way with 28% of all new store installations, with the runner-up at 15%. (Refer to Image 2 below.)
PioneerRx users have the highest likelihood to continue using their current software.
When asked on a scale of 0-10 how likely they are to keep their current software, PioneerRx users reported an average score of 9.68. This was the highest average reported for any software company in the study.
