The Salon Professional Academy Supports CASA Of Will County With A Free Student Style Show Fundraiser

Online, April 27, 2010 (Newswire.com) - This year's show, inspired by Alice In Wonderland, promises to be an exciting high-energy show. Each student has the day of the show to cut, color, and style his or her model for a chance to win a Salon Professional Academy scholarship.

Students are competing in one of three categories. Local salon professionals are judging the Avant Garde, updo, and color categories. Student's scores are based on creativity and technical skill. The winner of each category receives a $250 scholarship.

Everyone in attendance receives a $10 gift certificate for a future service visit. Seating is limited, and you should call to reserve your spot.

CASA of Will County is a volunteer organization of court appointed special advocates for children. Their primary goal is to ensure that children who are abuse / neglect victims have a CASA volunteer advocate working and speaking for them in the Juvenile court system. Every year they help a greater number of children have a safe, permanent, nurturing home as quickly as possible.

The Salon Professional Academy is having a pick-a-prize raffle with all of the proceeds going directly to CASA of Will County the night of the show. Some of the items up for raffle include free haircuts for a year, Redken product baskets, and other free services. Additionally, 10% of all gift certificate sales and retail sales, during the show, will be donated to CASA of Will County.

Richard Dramato, owner of The Salon Professional Academy, has pledged a minimum donation of $1,000 from the event. However, he anticipates the public support to push the donation amount much higher.

The Salon Professional Academy Shorewood also pledges to give an additional 10% of select service and retail sales to CASA of Will County during the month of May. To participate in this extra donation, bring this article with to your service visit and the donation will be automatic.

The Salon Professional Academy is a 7,000 square foot state of the art cosmetology school sponsored by Redken. The cosmetology school, owned by Richard and Vivian Dramato opened in January of 2007 for the purpose of changing the cosmetology industry. Their mission is to grow future salon industry leaders one student at a time.
