PST Galileo and the Moscow State University "Razumovsky" for Technology and Management signed a collaboration agreement for education, reseach and dissemination of science and culture.
Online, July 24, 2012 (Newswire.com) - PST Galileo and the Moscow State University "Razumovsky" for Technology and Management signed a collaboration agreement for education, reseach and dissemination of science and culture.
During a meeting held in Kaliningrad on July 8, Massimo Malaguti and Giorgio Pellizzaro for PST Galileo and Scuola Italiana Design and Antonina Maydak with Olga Tarabrina, Director and Vice Director for Research at MSUTM Kaliningrad, signed a three-year agreement which provides, among other initiatives, students and teachers exchange in industrial design area, the organization of cultural events as meetings and exhibitions.
The MSUTM, established in 1953 as food industry processes University, is the most important university in Russia for higher vocational education in industry. MSTUM has over 400 teachers and about 19,000 students, divided into 7 main areas of industrial technology, such as business organization and agribusiness. Since 2008 Valentina Ivanova, professor of economics, has been the rector.
The headquarters of MSUTM are in Moscow, but it has 30 school annex over Russia, including Kaliningrad, which hosts the design department, with particular reference to landscape architecture and interior design.
The collaboration agreement with SID and PST Galileo is part of the internationalization policy of the Moscow State University, which aims to establish ongoing relationships with worldwide partners, selected for the quality of their services.
For example, MSUTM Kaliningrad also renewed the collaboration agreement with Vilnius Academy of Art (department of the University of Kaunas). The Lithuanian university was represented by Jonas Audèjaitis, rector of the Academy.
Also, during the visit to Kaliningrad, SID and PST Galileo met the Vice Mayor of the City, Aleksandr Pyatikop, who hosted the signing ceremony at the Town Hall, and the Mayor Aleksandr Yaroshuk, who received some freebies sent by his colleague in Padua, Flavio Zanonato.
